Titles in red and black within woodcut historiated architectural border. 180; 195, [1] leaves, including colophon leaf at end. 2 volumes in one. 4to, 192x141 mm, contemporary calf over pasteboard decorated with concentric medallion rolls around panel of gilt fleurons and thistle tools on covers, and thistle tools and cinquefoils on spine, remnants of thong ties, vertical streak of white paint on spine; varying and occasionally heavy browning, some passages of text inked out (see below), some sidenotes shaved, lower outer corner off k5, q7, and s8 with slight text loss in first part, conspicuous worming in lower inner corner of gatherings h through m in second part occasionally entering text; red edges, with author's name in ink on fore edges. Branded ownership mark of the Convento de San Francisco de México (BF-12053.01) and another unidentified mark on top edges.
